BLS Healthcare-Level Provider CPR
Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider - The American Heart Association’s BLS Provider course is designed for healthcare professionals (e.g. nurses, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, EMS providers, EMS providers, respiratory therapists, allied health workers, law enforcement officers, nursing assistants, dental hygienists & assistants, massage therapists) and others working in healthcare settings. The participant will learn how to recognize cardiac and breathing emergencies and appropriate response such as adult, child and infant CPR, 2-rescuer CPR, use of a bag-valve mask, proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and foreign body airway obstruction. Upon completing the course the participant will be certified in CPR (BLS Provider) by the American Heart Association (AHA) for a period of two years. The $69.00 course fee includes equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts and applicable taxes. A full-color book can be purchased for an extra $18.00. This course meets the regulatory requirements of the Virginia Department of Health, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services, OSHA and the Virginia Department of Social Services.
BLS Healthcare-Level Provider - Renewal
Renewal BLS Provider – The BLS Provider renewal course is designed for healthcare professionals who have a current BLS Healthcare certification card and need to complete the 2-year re-certification process. The participant will learn how to recognize cardiac and breathing emergencies and appropriate response such as adult, child and infant CPR, 2-rescuer CPR, use of a bag-valve mask, proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and foreign body airway obstruction. Upon successful completion the participant will be certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) for a period of two years. The $65.00 course fee includes equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts and applicable taxes. A new full-color book can be purchased at the cost of $18.00. This course meets the regulatory requirements of the Virginia Department of Health, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Standard CPR Class
Standard (Adult, Child, Infant) CPR & AED - This course is geared toward employees and/or designated first responders at places of business who have a duty to respond to an illness or injury because of their job responsibilities or regulatory regulations, and need a certification card. The course teaches participants how to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adults, children and infants. This includes how to perform CPR, relieve choking use an AED and barrier devices for all ages. All participants completing the course receive a certification card from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ESCI) indicating a 2-year certification period for Adult, Child and Infant CPR. The class meets the requirements of OSHA’s, the Department of Education and the Department of Social Services for CPR/AED training. When combined with the First Aid Class, the classes cover all required training topics of these regulatory agencies.  The $45.00 course fee includes a CPR & First Aid guidebook, equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts, and applicable taxes. You can upgrade to a comprehensive full-color book for an extra $18.00.
Adult CPR Class
Adult CPR/AED - This course is geared toward employees and/or designated first responders at places of business who have a duty to respond to an illness or injury because of their job responsibilities or regulatory regulations, and need a certification card. The course teaches participants how to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adults including how to perform CPR, relieve choking use an AED and barrier devices. All participants completing the course receive a certification card from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ESCI) indicating a 2-year certification period for Adult CPR. When combined with a First Aid course, this complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151, the Department of Education’s and the Department of Social Services’ requirements for CPR/AED & First Aid Certification. The $40.00 course fee includes a CPR/AED & First Aid guidebook, equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts, and applicable taxes. You can upgrade to a comprehensive full-color book for an extra $18.00.
