Adult CPR/AED and First Aid

Service Description

Adult CPR/AED & Standard First Aid - This course is geared toward employees and/or designated first responders at places of business who have a duty to respond to an illness or injury because of their job responsibilities or regulatory regulations and need a certification card. This class combines both Adult CPR, the use of the AED and First Aid training into one class setting and teaches the participants how to handle a wide range of emergencies until professional help arrives. Participants learn to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adults including performing CPR, relieving choking, using an AED and barrier devices. Participants also learn general first aid concepts for everything from cuts and scrapes to injuries of the muscles, bones, joints, head and chest. One also learns how to recognize and effectively respond to heat and cold emergencies, sudden illnesses and poisonings. Upon completing the class, the participant is certified for a period of 2-years in Adult CPR/AED and Standard First Aid. This combined class meets OSHA’s, the Department of Education’s, and the Department of Social Services’ requirements for CPR/AED & First Aid Certification. The $70.00 course fee includes a CPR & First Aid guidebook, equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts, and applicable taxes. You can upgrade to a comprehensive full-color book for an extra $18.00.
