BLS Provider CPR - Renewal Class

Service Description

Renewal BLS Provider – The BLS Provider renewal course is designed for healthcare professionals who have a current BLS Healthcare certification card and need to complete the 2-year re-certification process. The participant will learn how to recognize cardiac and breathing emergencies and appropriate response such as adult, child and infant CPR, 2-rescuer CPR, use of a bag-valve mask, proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and foreign body airway obstruction. Upon successful completion the participant will be certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) for a period of two years. The $70.00 course fee includes equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts and applicable taxes. A new full-color book can be purchased at the cost of $18.00. This course meets the regulatory requirements of the Virginia Department of Health, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services.
