At Emergency Prep, our Pediatric First Aid and CPR courses comply with the Virginia Department of Social Services, Division of Licensing Programs' requirements for CPR and First Aid training programs. Course fees include a full color manual and certification card.
We will track your 2-year certification and notify you of upcoming courses as your expiration date nears.
These courses are essential for day care professionals, educators, foster care workers, school bus drivers, coaches and youth sports organizers, camp counselors, church youth leaders, boys and girls club leaders, cub scout leaders and anyone who has the responsibility for caring for children. |

CPR for Childcare Providers and Foster Parents
The Standard First Aid and CPR (ECSI) and Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid (AHA) courses are designed for those involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements (e.g. childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, school bus drivers, youth organizations and coaches for children's sports organizations). These courses comply with the requirements of the Department of Social Services, Division of Licensing Programs' requirements for CPR and First Aid training programs. Providers needing CPR without First Aid should take Standard CPR (ECSI) or Heartsaver CPR (AHA). Course fees include a full color manual and certification card. Skills include: |

w Adult, Child and Infant CPR
w Adult, Child and Infant rescue breathing
w Recognizing emergencies
w Use of barrier devices when providing resuscitation methods
w Procedures for relief of choking
w Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
First Aid:
w Controlling severe bleeding and shock
w Care for soft tissue injuries
w Care for bone, joint and muscle injuries
w Assisting with medical emergencies
w Heat and cold related emergencies |
