CPR for Workplace Responders
The Adult CPR (ECSI) and Heartsaver Adult CPR (AHA) courses are designed for businesses and other industries who desire to provide certified training to their employees. These courses are geared toward employees and/or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to an adult illness or injury because of job responsibilities or regulatory regulations. This course provides individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize emergencies and provide CPR for adults until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Course fees include a full color manual and certification card. When combined with a First Aid course, this complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151. The Bloodborne Pathogens module may be added for an additional cost. Skills include: |

Bloodborne Pathogens
This course complies with the training component of the U.S Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) and is designed for any employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with human blood, blood by-products or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties. Students learn essential information on the transmission & disease potential of common Bloodborne Pathogens such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B & C. The course includes an introduction to the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, identification of bloodborne pathogens, methods of preventing transmission and infection, universal precautions and exposure determination. Content on airborne pathogens, specifically tuberculosis, is also included. Course fees include a 1-year certification card. |
