Blended-Learning (Online) Recertification
ECSI, AHA and Emergency Prep offer a blended learning opportunity for those people who prefer to complete the "book-work" part of the course using their computer on-line. Blended learning combines an online review course that includes the written test, with a separate skills check-off session with a CPR instructor. The online program reveiws the basic life support knowledge to successfully address breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants. It includes one and two-rescuer CPR, airway and ventilation devices, and AED training. The online program allows the professional to review the cognitive course information at their own pace and at a time that is convenient for them. Once the online session is complete, one registers for the skills check-off session with an instruction to complete the certification process.
Online classes are purchased on the ECSI or AHA websites as listed below. When the online session has been successfully completed and the completion certificate printed, the skill review session is accomplished by bringing the certificate of completion printed from the online session along with a current CPR certification card to the Emergency Prep office at 3221 Peoples Drive in Harrisonburg, VA for the skills practice session and skills evaluation. |
