AED
AED instruction can be included with any of our CPR classes without any additional expense, or we can provide AED-only training is needed.  This interactive course includes audio/visual enhanced instruction in the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator as well as a hands-on practice portion that includes several real-life scenarios utilizing all of the elements of the AED training program designed to build competence and confidence in the use of the AED.  We also offer AEDs and accessories for purchase to complete your emergency response program.  Course fees include a 2-year certification card.

Bloodborne Pathogens
This course complies with the training component of the U.S Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) and is designed for any employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with human blood, blood by-products or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties.  Students learn essential information on the transmission & disease potential of common Bloodborne Pathogens such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B & C.  The course includes an introduction to the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, identification of bloodborne pathogens, methods of preventing transmission and infection, universal precautions and exposure determination.  Content on airborne pathogens, specifically tuberculosis, is also included.  Course fees include a 1-year certification card.

Carbon Monoxide Awareness
Awareness level training that discusses carbon monoxide sources, health standards and protection measures at the workplace.     Carbon monoxide (CO) is a poisonous, colorless, odorless, tasteless and non-irritating gas.  CO is a common industrial hazard resulting from the incomplete burning of natural gas and any other material containing carbon such as gasoline, kerosene, oil, propane, coal, or wood.  CO displaces oxygen in the blood and deprives the heart, brain, and other vital organs of oxygen.  High levels of carbon monoxide can lead to nausea, unconsciousness and death.  This course meets OSHA standard 29CFR 1910.1200.  Course fees include a 3-year certification card.

Confined Space Entry Awareness
Details the definition of a permit-required confined space as well as examples of hazards that may be encountered by those entering such spaces at work.  Appropriate for workers who are required to enter confined spaces as a part of their job responsibilities, as well as those who are involved in supporting roles or permitting and supervising confined space entry.  This course is designed to acquaint the participant with an organized approach to safe confined space entry along with the activities, methods and tools to accomplish the task.  Meets OSHA standard 29CFR 1910.146.  Course fees include a 3-year certification card.

Confined Space Rescue
This course teaches qualified Confined Space Entrants site-specific rescue procedures.  The course is designed for personnel assigned to emergency response teams or those interested in confined space or rope rescue applications.  Topics covered include rescue team management and operation, medical aspects of confined space rescue, victim stabilization, Incident Command System, basic rescue systems and equipment, developing rescue plans, knots and rigging systems and confined space hazard identification, assessment and control.  Meets OSHA standard 29CFR 1910.146.  Course fees include a 3-year certification card.

Fire Safety and Extinguisher Training
This course includes presentation of fire characteristics, types of fires, causes of workplace fires and prevention and protection measures.  It also addresses the various types of fire extinguishers and proper extinguisher operation techniques.  Participants will be given the opportunity for hands-on practice using real fire extinguishers.  Meets OSHA regulation 29CFR 1910.157 and 29CFR 1910.38.  Course fees include a 1-year certification card.

General Ergonomics Awareness
This course covers the use of ergonomic principles to recognize, evaluate, and control work place conditions that cause or contribute to musculoskeletal and nerve disorders. Topics include work physiology, anthropometry, musculoskeletal disorders, use of video display terminals, and risk factors such as vibration, temperature, material handling, repetition, and lifting and transfers in health care.  Meets OSHA standard 29CFR 1910.900.  Course fees include a 3-year certification card.

HAZCOM - Hazard Communication
The purpose of Hazcom is to communicate the hazards associated with workplace chemicals to all employees.  This course will ensure that participants understand the potential for exposure and their liability and responsibility as it relates to the company's Hazard Communication Program. Individuals who participate in this training will be given a comprehensive overview of the Standard, your written policies and procedures, Material Safety Data Sheets, appropriate hazard labeling, and the “Employee Right-To-Know” information. Meets OSHA regulation 29CFR 1910.1200.  Course fees include a 3-year certification card.

Hearing Conservation
This course includes anatomy and physiology of the ears and auditory system, types of hearing damage/loss, common causes of hearing damage/loss, potential effects of hearing damage, noise avoidance and hearing safety practices, selection and use of personal protective equipment and more.  Meets OSHA regulation 29CFR 1910.95.  Course fees include a 1-year certification card.

Oxygen Administration
This course is designed to provide and understanding of how to safely handle and administer oxygen in various settings.  Key topics include the components of a supplemental oxygen system, the types of supplemental oxygen devices, safety, storage, service and maintenance of oxygen systems, the importance of supplemental oxygen in the care of victims of sudden illness or injury and the use of supplemental oxygen equipment when providing care for a breathing or non-breathing victim.  Course fees include a 3-year certification card.

Personal Protective Equipment: General
