At Emergency Prep we offer CPR and First Aid programs developed by two of the most respected National emergency training and certifying organizations - the American Heart Association (AHA) and the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI).  We specialize in providing emergency preparation training to groups and individuals.  Click on the links below or scroll down the page for more detailed information regarding courses designed for the following individuals or groups:

CPR for Healthcare Professionals
The BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) course is designed for healthcare professionals (e.g. nurses, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, EMS providers, respiratory therapists, allied health workers, law enforcement officers) and others who have a job-related requirement to respond to emergency situations and must have a credential card documenting successful completion of a CPR course.  The course offers an opportunity for healthcare professionals to gain the knowledge and skills needed to perform CPR in a clinical or pre-hospital setting.  Skills include:

CPR for Childcare Providers and Foster Parents 
The Standard First Aid and CPR  (ECSI) and Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid (AHA) courses are designed for those involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements (e.g. childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, school bus drivers, youth organizations and coaches for children's sports organizations).  These courses comply with the requirements of the Department of Social Services, Division of Licensing Programs' requirements for CPR and First Aid training programs.  Providers needing CPR without First Aid should take Standard CPR (ECSI) or Heartsaver CPR (AHA).    The course fee includes a CPR & First Aid guidebook, equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts, and applicable taxes. A comprehensive full-color book can be purchased for an extra $15.00.   Skills include:

CPR for Workplace Responders
The Adult CPR/AED (ECSI) and Heartsaver Adult CPR/AED (AHA) courses are designed for businesses and other industries who desire to provide certified training to their employees.  These courses are geared toward employees and/or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to an adult illness or injury because of job responsibilities or regulatory regulations. This course provides individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize emergencies and provide CPR for adults until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.  The course fee includes a CPR & First Aid guidebook, equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts, and applicable taxes.  A comprehensive full-color book can be purchased for an extra $15.00. When combined with a First Aid course, this complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151.  The Bloodborne Pathogens module may be added at no additional cost.  Skills include:

CPR for Community Members
The Standard CPR & AED (ECSI) and Heartsaver CPR & AED (AHA) courses are community-focused training programs in emergency resuscitation for the lay rescuer.  This course provides individuals in the community with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize emergencies and provide CPR for adults, children and infants until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.  This program will teach individuals to perform resuscitation techniques for patients for all ages (CPR for Adult, Child and Infants) who are victims of sudden cardiac arrest, as well as those who are unresponsive or choking.  The course fee includes a CPR & First Aid guidebook, equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts, and applicable taxes. A comprehensive full-color book can be purchased for an extra $15.00.    Skills include:

CPR for New or Expectant Parents and Grandparents
The Child and Infant CPR course is designed to prepare new parents and grandparents for the arrival of a new infant.  This course allows families, friends, grandparents, siblings and others caring for infants and children up to 8 years old to learn the core skills of infant CPR and relief of choking. The course fee includes a CPR & First Aid guidebook, equipment, disposable training supplies, handouts, and applicable taxes. A comprehensive full-color book can be purchased for an extra $15.00.  Skills include:
